This was started quite a while ago, when I first started experimenting with sidechain compression and all that. What resulted from that was a truly terrible song; it was too repetitive, over-compressed, and had no flow or progression. It was just a bunch of cool sounds. But they were cool.
So more recently, I came back to it and gutted the song and started over. The only things I kept from the original was the beat, a couple effects, and a couple of synths. I recorded live piano, and brought in a ton more samples, as well as re-arranged the whole song. In addition to this, Ceeluvee (soundcloud.com/ceeluvee) was kind enough to master this track for me. This added up to a complete transformation from the original, to something that I think is way better than the original.
